Acting Associate Chancellor
As chief of staff in the Office of the Chancellor, serves as principal advisor to university leadership and plays a key role in developing and executing UC Riverside’s strategic vision and goals, as well as managing initiatives and liaising with campus leaders, the UC Office of the President and the Board of Regents.
Christine is on leave until October 1, 2020.
Suzette M. Lyons
Executive Assistant to the Chancellor
Responsible for scheduling all meetings, functions, and public appearances. Coordinates on campus and off campus speeches and briefing materials. Manages Chancellor’s special invitations, special projects and outgoing correspondence. Staffs the Chancellor for special events and coordinates all aspects of Chancellor’s travel and special appearances.
Beth Claassen Thrush
Project Policy Analyst
Coordinates special projects and initiatives, including staffing campus-wide task forces and organizing official campus visits. Responsible for executive searches, review and analysis of policies from the UC Office of the President, drafting Chancellor communications and reports, and preparation of agenda items and materials for UC Board of Regents' meetings.
Executive Coordinator to the Chancellor
Coordinates and orchestrates the design and implementation of all events at the Chancellor’s Residence, schedules and oversees maintenance projects at the Chancellor’s Residence, provides administrative support to the Associate of the Chancellor, and assists Event Management & Protocol with the implementation of major campus events.
Provides executive-level administrative support for the Associate Chancellor and Office of the Chancellor. Responds to inquiries from a wide range of internal and external constituents. Administers travel planning, event logistics, and financial transactions for the office.
Executive Communications Officer
Provides comprehensive communications resources for the Office of the Chancellor, including copywriting, editing, message development, research, and correspondence.
